One of the first things I thought about when I got involved in Ghost Bones was "What is it about Dylan's music that fascinates so many people?"
Surely he cant be all that relevant in the modern music world of manufactured "Idol competitions" and ring tone downloads? So what was it about the songs that resonated with me personally? One of the most enjoyable aspects of getting a little older is (hopefully) a deeper understanding of what really matters in life, relationships and friendships. Material posessions, work and all the other elements of the everyday that seemed to have such significance in my earlier years have far less inportance today. Over the months we took to make this record I found myself drawn deeper and deeper into Dylan's story telling and the remarkable melodies. So for me, Dylan's songs old and new, especially lyrically, reflect an amazing and wonderful insight into the human spirit. Life is about the people you meet, the girl you love, the friends you make....Dylan understood that from the first song he ever wrote I think it's that aspect of his writing that has created and continues to attract and inspire so many devoted fans around the planet. I hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as I enjoyed singing them
